National Institute of Building Sciences Board Introduces Four New Directors

The National Institute of Building Sciences welcomed four members to its board of directors, according to the press release.

Justin L. Boone, Bruce Risley, John (JC) Hudgison, and Monika Serrano joined on to represent industry and public voices.

Justin L. Boone: Justin is the principal and unit manager of Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. His areas of expertise include building science consulting, architectural and high-performance building enclosure system designs, and enclosure commissioning.

Bruce Risley, RA, CCM: Bruce is the senior vice president of ARCADIS’ Infrastructure Business Line. He serves as the west region buildings market sector lead and as the executive director of operations. Bruce’s experience includes more than 30 years of overseeing public and private-sector capital improvement programs, and horizontal and vertical construction.

John (JC) Hudgison, CBO, Assoc. AIA: John is the construction services center manager and chief building official with the city of Tampa, Florida. John manages the site plan including inspection for code compliance and permits for structures.

Monika Serrano: Monika serves as a resilience program manager with Turner Construction Company with more than 18 years of experience. She is passionate about creating and implementing climate initiatives.

John, Monika, and Justin started their terms in October, and Bruce started serving in May.
