Mobile Lab Delivers Bioscience Education

A recent approval for a mobile lab will provide rural communities access to bioscience education.

For Maine’s Aroostook County, the Life-Science Mobile Learning Lab will provide educational access for remote and under-resourced schools in the area.

The bus, equipped with a state-of-the-art lab facility, received financial support after a bill was signed by Governor Janet Mills.

In addition, due to an emerging law, LD 1389, $150,000 in state funds will be used to complete the planning and development of the mobile educational lab.

The lab is set to hit the road in early 2024.
