Lab Design Conference Participants Attend Exclusive Behind The Scenes Lab Tours 

After the Lab Design Conference in San Diego, participants were treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of some of the industry's latest leading facilities, including Tata Hall and Franklin Antonio Hall at UCSD, SOVA Science District, and Biovista.

Tata Hall 

Tata Hall is a hub between the University of California San Diego and research derivatives in India for vector-borne diseases. Participants toured the eight-floor structure, gaining knowledge of the structure’s conception, construction, design, and execution. 

Franklin Antonio Hall 

Franklin Antonio Hall is a cross-disciplined space providing collaboration in health, energy, security, and communications. Guests enjoyed learning about how collaboration informed the design including touring classrooms and a cafe space. 

SOVA 

SOVA is a modern life science and tech campus offering tours of the spec labs and the amenities including a New English Brewery, a fitness center with complimentary yoga and strength training classes, a pop-up smoothie bar, and a recreational lawn area. 

Biovista

Participants enjoyed tours of Biovista, a Class A lab workspace that provides life science companies with a collaborative working community.  

The amenities were an enjoyable feature including an enhanced fitness center, a conferencing center, and lunch at the brand-new restaurant called California English operated by celebrity chef Richard Blais, winner of a “Beat Bobby Flay” competition.
