Integrated DNA Technologies Opens New Therapeutic Manufacturing Facility

IDT’s executive leadership team cuts the ribbon at its new Therapeutic Oligonucleotide Manufacturing facility in Coralville, Iowa, marking its entrance into the therapeutic space.

With a growing demand in Genomic Medicine, global genomics solutions provider, Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), announced the new Therapeutic Oligonucleotide Manufacturing facility.

IDT, the operating company in the life sciences segment of Danaher Corporation, celebrated the Coralville, Iowa facility, marking a new beginning in therapeutics.

The 41,000-square-foot facility will produce products in accordance with ICH Q7 cGMP standards for research, documentation, and testing use, current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) grade cell and gene therapy reagents including, single guide RNAs (sgRNAs), as well as donor oligos for homology-directed repair (HDR).

The site features ISO 8 cleanrooms, storage rooms, quality control labs, analytical lab space that will be used for product testing, purification suites, chemical distribution, and office spaces.

The facility also has shell spaces for future expansion and environmental control features for temperature, humidity, and air pressure due to an environmental program and a monitoring system.

The facility is near IDT’s U.S. headquarters in the University of Iowa Research Park.
