Infographic: How to Set Your Lab Move for Success

A laboratory facility may be relocated for a number of reasons: a need for enhanced facilities and infrastructure, accommodation for new methodologies, technologies, and safety standards, the desire for a larger, more modern location with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, or a strategic move to align with organizational goals or industry trends.

A lab relocation project includes safety considerations related to hazardous materials, containment protocols, and environmental controls. The project team and lab management must also consider many interruptions to research or costly downtime while the move is underway. Before beginning a relocation project, it’s crucial for all project stakeholders to develop a foundational understanding of the project and select the right team for the job.
