Ground Breaking for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center broke ground for a cancer research facility in September.

The South Campus Research Building in Houston will be a seven-story building spanning 600,000 square feet.

The estimated $668 million facility will be a home for cancer research and treatment experimentation.

The research campus will feature a restaurant, lecture, green and research spaces, and a conference center to promote collaboration throughout the facility.

The projected completion date is set for 2026.
