Call for Speakers Open for 2025 Lab Design Conference

The Lab Design Conference is seeking industry experts to speak at our in-person event in Denver, Colorado in May 2025. We invite you to apply for your chance to join the faculty of this industry-leading event and share your work with the hundreds of lab professionals who will be in attendance.

The Lab Design Conference includes everyone involved with the design, construction, and renovation of the lab facility—the audience includes lab planners, architects, engineers, construction professionals, equipment and furniture manufacturers and suppliers, and the lab end users who will utilize these facilities.

The conference will take place from May 11-14, 2025, with educational talks taking place on May 12-13. The rest of the conference will include networking events as well as optional workshops, round table discussions, and exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of local lab facilities.

We are seeking proposals that range from introductory-level content to high-level content. Presentations must be strictly non-commercial. We also encourage proposals that incorporate:

  • Health, safety, and welfare (HSW) content

  • Lab design in various industries (i.e. pharma, life sciences, forensic, government, vivarium, manufacturing, etc.)

  • The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in lab design

  • Presentations that feature lab end users (lab managers, bench scientists, etc.) as main or co-speakers, to discuss how lab design influences their research and how they provided input for the project

  • Insight from structural engineers

  • “Lessons learned” throughout the lifespan of a lab project

  • Sustainable lab design—carbon reduction strategies and carbon neutrality, stewardship of resources, using sustainability to foster collaboration, equipment that can assist with LEED certification, etc.

  • Collaboration strategies between MEP, architecture, and lab planning teams

  • Designing for innovation

Ready to share your experience and expertise? Submit your proposal here. Proposals must be submitted by August 9, 2024.
